Additional team members, like controllers and accountants, can be utilized on an hourly basis for additional support or to reduce overall costs. We aim for efficiency.

2

Set Goals And Establish Activities & Projects.

We’ll be frank with you on the value we can deliver. Our clients thrive because we only engage when our team can deliver transformational value.

3

We Get Working

We’ll agree on location (on-site, hybrid or remote), optimal hours of availability and a cadence for check-ins.

In our experience, it’s important to have the ability to have in-person meetings and to work on-site. For this reason, our fractional CFOs focus on clients in our hometown of Austin, TX and vicinity. However, we’ll consider remote-only engagements if we are able to deliver exceptional value.

Advantages of a Fractional CFO

1. Outstanding Value For Cost

The flexibility of a Fractional CFO provides outstanding value. Chief executives can retain the talent and skills of an A-player CFO and pay for the fraction of time one is truly needed.

A growing business often needs a CFO before there is budget to hire one full-time. This leaves knowledge gaps in the organization – often at critical phases – or saddles executives with responsibilities for which they are not ideally suited. Our rates for a fractional CFO range from $200 to $300 per hour. Additional team members range from $90 to $175 per hour.

A-level CFO talent for the time one is truly needed.

2. Precision Expertise

The key to pulling insight out of data is expert knowledge. The fractional CFO – with their depth and breadth of knowledge – has an integrated ability to unlock information.

The bottom-line impact of your business decisions are contained within the finance department. It is a repository of data that touches all of your stakeholders. This information is phenomenally valuable and hard to obtain outside of operating within the industry. Don’t let it go to waste.

CFO expertise goes well beyond accounting. It will include working with capital providers, negotiations and legal agreements, dealing with the IRS and State Comptrollers, and enterprise software systems, just to name a few.

The key to transform data into insight.

3. Valuable Experience

The advantage of experience is foresight. It multiplies opportunities, reduces risk, improves efficiency and levels up decision making across the entire organization.

Wisdom emerges from responsibility borne over time, after consequences are revealed. A fractional CFO has years of experience at the top-level of the organization. They’ve sat in the decision maker’s chair, untangled complex business decisions, worked with stakeholders, implemented decisions, and have been accountable for the outcomes.

Additional perspective is gained by broad industry exposure. Fractional CFOs typically work with multiple clients across a variety of industries. Each industry has it’s own approach to value creation, challenges and best practices.

The best decisions implemented at the optimal time.
